Educational Involvement
Local schools get involved by creating curriculum about the importance of caring for the poor and homeless. Students are also asked to participate in Changing Lives by filling donation boxes, tutoring residents at our homeless shelter, donating art and school supplies, and many other creative activities.
Donor Signage
Many of the Lowndes county banks, in addition to being major sponsors, participate by asking their individual customers to donate to Changing Lives by purchasing donor cards which are, in turn, displayed on a wall in the bank.
Accept a LAMP Donation Box
You can help by accepting and diplaying a LAMP donation box in a prominent location in your business and by encouraging your clientele to deposit their extra "change" in this donation box.
Church/Civic Group/Organization Activities

You may also decide to design and implement fundraising activities such as:

  • spaghetti supper/pancake dinner
  • garage or yard sale
  • church carnival
  • concert
  • chili cook-off or pie bake-off
  • auction and/or silent auction
  • lunch and learn
  • poker run
  • book sale
  • etc...
The goal of LAMP's annual Changing Lives Campaign, a series of educational and fundraising events, is to educate the citizens of and youth about the plight of the indigent and homeless and the role we play in ministering to this population. In order to facilitate this campaign you can help in the following ways.
When you save one life it's as if you have saved the entire world.
